This is Mr. Luhrs' first full year here at New Milford High School. He is currently filling in for a maternity leave position as the IBC Teacher, but began working in this district as the Wings Extended School Year teacher this past summer. He holds both a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education (K-12) from The College of New Jersey. His content focus was on English throughout his time at The College of New Jersey. In his free time, Mr. Luhrs enjoys traveling, being active, and pursuing new passions. 

In the IBC Classroom, we dedicate time to work on all four major content areas: Math, English, Science, and History. A major part of our time is also spent building life-skills through a period dedicated to Transition Work. We endeavor to build and develop these skills further by participating in Community Based Instruction. This involvement is crucial in meeting IEP goals and developing and working towards accomplishing post-secondary goals.
