Behavioral Health Toolkit
The Society for Prevention of Teen Suicide has created a Behavioral Health toolkit for all families of 6th-grade students. This packet provides information for parents/caregivers on common mental health challenges, warning signs, and resources. Its purpose is to help families understand how to advocate for their children and respond to concerning behaviors promptly. The Toolkit is designed to be distributed through schools, pediatric, or mental health care offices. This is a comprehensive yet concise list of what to DO, ASK, and EXPECT if the need for services arises.
Our counseling team has created the attached PDF to share the information. They can also provide hard copies upon request (cbigwood@nmpsd.org and msulivan@nmpsd.org). -
