Mrs. Pikul has been teaching at Berkley Street School for the past nineteen years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in History at Montclair State University and her Teacher’s Certification in Elementary Education at Felician University. Mrs. Pikul enjoys teaching young children simply because they are so excited to learn! Mrs. Pikul’s philosophy of education is that of a comfortable and structured environment where students engage in meaningful hands on learning experiences. Mrs. Pikul believes that daily learning centers and small group instruction,  enables students to grasp concepts in a meaningful and practical way. She believes that kinesthetic learning, as opposed to rote learning, allows students to independently grow and flourish. Mrs. Pikul enjoys reading, spending time with her family, cooking and traveling. She resides in Bergen County with her husband, twin daughters, Lauren and Katie and her dog, Chloe.
