Suzanne Smith is a special education teacher at Berkley Street Elementary School.  She currently teaches students in first grade in a collaborative class with Mrs. Horgan.  This new experience teaching with Mrs. Horgan has been very exciting.  Mrs. Smith graduated from William Paterson University with a BA in elementary education and a Masters in Teacher of Students with Disabilities.  Mrs. Smith believes that not all students learn the same way and everyone has a special gift.  Being hands-on and part of a classroom where there is differentiated instruction, it allows students to really come into their own.  When Mrs. Smith is not at school, she is home with her three teenage sons and husband.  As a family, they spend a lot of our time up in Cape Cod.
